Entry Requirements

Standard Entry

There no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however candidates should consider that this is a professional level qualification, approximately equivalent to the final year of a degree course. Achievement of the NGC or direct equivalent prior to undertaking the Diploma course is highly recommended.

  We welcome applications from mature students and are willing to consider, on an individual basis, those who do not meet traditional entry criteria. We are strongly supportive of the University's Higher Education Foundation Course (HEFC), which provides an excellent basis for preparing adult students for entry to Higher Education - more details are available from the Return to Learning Service

• International/English Language Requirements:
  

  Students whose first language is not English are required to satisfy a minimum proficiency in both written and spoken English. They should have studied at undergraduate level in English, or have one of the following English language proficiency qualifications: a British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of *6.0 (or above) or a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 Paper Based, or 80 Internet Based (or above). The University also accepts many other English language qualifications. Please contact the Admissions Office where staff will be happy to advise you.
  
  *For each of the components within IELTS, applicants must not drop below 0.5 of the required level.
