The computer games industry has grown Computer Games Design and Production is actually two related yet distinct subjects pulled together. Join this course and you’ll be taking a comprehensive look at how to design computer games such as creating character descriptions, level descriptions, game play descriptions. Once you graduate from this course, the natural career progression for you would be team leader of a group of developers because through this course, you'll learn how to see the bigger picture and therefore hold the vision that helps the team function together. Even if you decide this isn’t the route you'd like to take, these are transferable skills that are highly-appreciated in many other fields. You'll learn project management, business skills, management skills, communication and entrepreneurship because those are the skills that the industry desperately needs.

Is this course right for you?
Maths at A level or equivalent is not a requirement for this course, nor is artistic talent but we do look for people who are creative and curious and can communicate ideas well. It almost goes without saying that you should also be passionate about the games industry! CAREERS

As a graduate from this degree, you’d be expected to go on and become a games producer or a games designer or perhaps go on and be a producer or designer of new media. Alternatively you may use the project management skills you’ll pick up to go into project management as a career.
