The BA (Hons) International Business Management degree provides students with a truly international experience. The programme has been created in order to equip students with essential knowledge on the international business environment.
Students study with international students from over 30 different countries (including Britain!); you will learn an additional language (or possibly build on existing skills) and spend time working or studying in a foreign environment. The combination of these skills will set you apart from other graduates when embarking on your future career.
Placements
All UK students are expected to undertake an overseas placement. On the three year degree this will be a study placement in the second semester of the second year. The four year degree students will undertake one of
the following in their third year:
- Study business at an overseas institution
- Working overseas
- A combination of both study and working abroad

CAREERS
Graduates from the International Business Management programme can expect to gain employment in a wide range of careers encompassing positions in many areas such as Finance, Marketing, Tourism and Human Resource Management in both national and international organisations. Graduates have gone on to work, for example, as Accountants Consultants, Financial Analysts, Human Resource Officers Marketing Managers and Corporate Buyers in Multinational Companies.

Successful completion of the placement
year to City and Guild standards allows the University to award the Licentiateship of City and Guilds (LCGI), a national qualification recognised by employers such as Lloyds TSB.
