This is an outstanding opportunity for you to experience the real business world and put into practice what you have learned on the programme, whether you choose to work for a large multinational or a Small Medium Enterprise (SME).
During the third year students undertake a placement in industry. Placements could be in a range of organisations from large multinationals. You will get full support from the Placement Office to obtain a meaningful placement which will prepare you for your final year studies and further employment.
LEARNING AND TEACHING METHODS
The programme will be delivered using a combination of lectures, seminars, computer-based workshops, visiting speakers, open learning materials, directed and independent learning to ensure a deep and broad knowledge of the subject.
You’ll be assessed in a variety of ways including the production of business reports, presentations, portfolios and examinations. You may also use computerised business simulations as a basis for some assessments. Many assessments are based on real-life case studies and business scenarios ensuring they are an authentic and relevant representation of how businesses work. You will undertake a major in-depth study on a relevant topic of your choice in your final year.
The programme is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and allows students entry to the Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
