The course will develop the understanding and skills required to become a creative early years specialist teacher of the future. It is designed to meet government regulations for initial teacher training and successful students will be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status as accredited by the GTC.

Early Years is a multidisciplinary route which reflects current developments in integrated early years policy and practice. Disability Studies is a multidisciplinary part route, which means you will be examining research and theory from psychology, sociology, history and many other subject areas.

This new programme is aimed primarily at Nurses who are already employed as Emergency Care Practitioners but who, along with their employers wish to enhance their knowledge, understanding and skills to inform the achievement of relevant competencies.

This programme is designed for students who are interested in taking an in-depth look at the English language.

The English Language and Literature degree will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of English language and a detailed understanding of literature. Through the programme they will become familiar with the major periods of literary expression and with the principal forms of critical understanding. It covers a number of different language disciplines, including structural, sociolinguistic and historical dimensions.

English and Creative Writing fully engages literature and writing, encouraging aspiring writers within a supportive but critical writing community in fiction, poetry, media writing, journalism and drama, whilst at the same time covering a broad range of literary material stretching from the Renaissance to the post-modern. Types and definitions of literature and writing are discussed and interrogated, with the intentions of examining key concepts and debates in the disciplines and discussing the methodologies and theories which inform our reading and writing of texts. 

This degree brings together the areas of English, History and the History of Ideas in to an interdependent study which also trains students in the skills and methodologies of degree study in the humanities.

This degree aims to provide a detailed understanding of writing in English and a sophisticated awareness of the critical debates in the discipline. Students become familiar with major periods of literary expression and with the principal forms of critical understanding. Students are provided with a thorough grounding in writing in English from each of the modern phases of its development, from the Medieval to the modern.

Entrepreneurial Business Management is an exciting and innovative new programme aimed at those aspiring to set up and run their own businesses or those who wish to stand out from the crowd when applying for graduate positions after completing the programme.

This course provides the knowledge, operational and theoretical skills base for students wishing to pursue careers as Environmental Health Practitioners or related Environmental Health disciplines. Course specialisms include environmental protection, food science and public health.
