We have recently invested over £160 million in improving and developing our teaching and research facilities, providing you with everything you need to succeed in your chosen area of study or research.
Northumbria Postgraduate Scholarships
For 2013 full-time, postgraduate courses we are offering academic scholarships and discounts worth up to 25% off tuition fees for home students who have achieved a 1st class or 2:1 in their undergraduate degree. Full details can be found here.
For international students, international academic scholarships of up to £2,000 are available, depending on your entry qualifications. Further information about the scheme can be found here with specific country criteria available on the relevant country pages.

Did you know you don't have to study a postgraduate degree in the same area as your undergraduate degree? Northumbria offers many opportunities to study conversion courses to broaden your knowledge, re-develop your skills, or re-train in a new field and take a new direction in your professional life. How to Apply
Applications for the majority of taught postgraduate programmes should be made directly to the University (the Bar Professional Training Course, Legal Practice course and Graduate Diploma in Law qualifications are the only exceptions). Research Opportunities
Research opportunities are available across multiple subject areas in each of our Academic Schools. Students can apply to postgraduate research programmes at MRes, MPhil, PhD and Professional Doctorate levels depending on the subject of interest.
