Accommodation for Northumbria University School of Design London

En suite Accommodation, in halls of residence, is available at a range of prices and locations; owned by private companies, housing associations or other universities a choice of prices and locations can be found below.

How to apply : Each building has a different application process.  Please read the "how to apply" section for the building of your choice below.   Most of the accommodation providers require you to book direct with them.

  Liberty House - Managed by Liberty Living

Liberty House is situated in the desirable borough of Islington, in the heart of London. Liberty House comprises of 2 student residences just 3 minutes walk from each other. The properties benefit from a private courtyard with secure bike storage, and a spacious modern common room with a pool table. Liberty House has its own gym which is exclusive to Liberty House residents. The residences boast a good range of rooms, en-suite rooms, studio apartments and twin studios. The studios are self - contained flats with their own private bathroom and kitchenette. The residence has a conveniently located library across the road and a selection of supermarkets just a few minutes away. Popular restaurants and bars are just a short walk away in this vibrant cosmopolitan area of London.

Costs:

From £215 for En-suite rooms (shared kitchen and private bathroom) only available on a 51 week contract.

From £245 - £259.50 for a Single Studio (44 or 51 week tenancy options available - private bathroom and kitchen)

Premium studio at £300 per week

Twin rooms cost from £177.50 per person per week

The above weekly rate includes all bills and utilities, internet access and access to the Gym located at St Johns Street.

Liberty Living also has onsite security, and is 24 hour with a full suite of staff including cleaning and maintenance.

NIDO, Kings Cross, managed by NIDO.

Cost: From £255 up to £295 per week for a single studio (according to availability, room size and location in the building). A 43 week or 51 week contract is available for the academic year from September.  

Twin rooms cost from £175 per person per week and are available on request (according to availability).

The weekly rate includes all bills and utilities, internet access and access to the fitness centre (after £10 induction fee).

Nido also offers 24/7 security, Live in Residence Life staff, Cafe' on site, free bike storage and laundry facilities.

NIDO Spitalfields, managed by NIDO

Cost: From £240 up to £330 per week for a single studio or twin options (according to availability, room size and location in the building). A 43 week or 51 week contract is available for the academic year from September.

Rooms in a 4, 5 or 6 bed shared apartment cost from £295 per person per week and are available upon request (according to availability).

This weekly rate includes bills and utilities, internet access and access to the fitness centre (after £10 induction fee).

NIDO, Notting Hill (opening in September 2011)

Cost:  from £245 up to £280 per week for a single studio (according to availability, room size and location in the building).  A 43 week or 51 week contract is available for the academic year from September.

Twin rooms cost from £170 per person per week and are available upon request (according to availability).

This weekly rate includes bills and utilities, internet access and access to the fitness centre (after £10 induction fee).

Opal 4, Tufnell Park, London, managed by OPAL

Cost: £192.00 per week for a standard room, £201.60 per week for a standard plus room, £211.20 per week for a deluxe room and £230.40 per week for a Studio.

Prices include a 2mg internet service, water, electricity and heating. We now only have 44 week contracts available.

Distance from School: Robbins Hall is in Enfield, 5 to 10 minutes walk from Ponders End Station. Trains travel from here to Liverpool Street. From Liverpool Street take the underground to Angel, changing at Moorgate.
