Aditya Mirchandani - BSc (Hons) Building Project Management
Country: India
NU What was it about Building Project Management that appealed to you?
A The construction industry always appealed to me, and after an internship in the industry I felt that project management was what I wanted to do. This course has a flexible first year and I could change onto to a similar course if I wanted. Northumbria is one of the best for the study of built environment courses in the UK and the course offers a placement year which gives me an opportunity to work in the UK construction industry.

NU What do you like most about the course?
A What I like about the course if that it is not all technology but also has business and management aspects in it. It gives an overall understanding of construction from the design stage to the planning and finally the construction.
NU What is it like living and studying so far away from home?
A You do miss home but the technology advancements have made sure it doesn’t seem so far. There are plenty of things to do here to stop you feeling too homesick; I am a member of Team Northumbria and a regular user of the gym. This year, as well as using the gym I have also learnt rock climbing, while last year I was a part of the cricket club. The people of Newcastle are very friendly and great fun to spend time with.
