New MEd pathways attract international students
Following a consultation with Northumbria University Regional Offices, the Masters in Education programme, delivered by the School of Health, Education and Community Studies has enjoyed a 700% increase in international applications.
The success has been a result of a change in format, which has lead to the programme becoming more flexible. The masters programme is now offered as a “Master of Education (MEd) with...” qualification which gives graduates one of the following degrees;
• MEd with Leadership
• MEd with Curriculum Development
• MEd with Teaching and Learning
Business Development Manager, Jim Fraser said: “The feedback from the original MEd programme told us that it would be beneficial for international students if they could control the programme specifics. The fact that we have experienced a 700% increase in international applications proves that listening to the students really works”.
