Japanese Programme
Would you like to spend three weeks experiencing all aspects of Japanese, culture, life and learning the language?
Whilst on the Japanese Programme you will live with a host family. You will spend three hours studying with language tutors at the Momoyama Gakuin University and then spend time each day experiencing and participating in cultural activities, attending lectures on contemporary Japan, and going on trips in the local area. A proposed schedule for the programme is attached on the right hand panel.
The programme runs in June for beginner to intermediate level students. Please note that students must have studied Japanese language a minimum of 3 months before they will be considered for the programme and you will have to undertake a Japanese Language Placement Test.
The fees for the programme include accommodation, meals, trips and activities, textbooks and transportation. Please note it does not include travel to and from Japan or general daily expenses.
Numbers are limited so if you are interested in taking part download the guidelines and application form on the right (along with some language tests and questionnaires that also need to be completed) and then contact the International Office (at the address on the right) as soon as possible for more information. Fees for 2011 will be 120,000 YEN (approximately £1000 GBP).
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 29th February 2012.
