Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) Sweden

Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) in Sweden are offering Northumbria students the chance to participate in their Summer Programme.  Both undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities are available.

Applicants will have the opportunity to participate in one of a selection of international courses which are taught entirely in English.  The courses focus on Entrepreneurship, Logistics and Family Business.  Credits for the course are available.  You will have the chance to participate in social and cultural activities, be able to discover and learn about Sweden and its culture, and benefit from a term abroad during their summer break and gain valuable international experience.

JIBS is a leading business school in Scandinavia with a special focus on entrepreneurship, business renewal and internationalisation. The summer programme is taught in conjunction with the Center for Innovation Systems Entrepreneurship and Growth (CISEG), The Center of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (CeLS), The Centre for Evolving IT in Networked Organisations, The Institute of Foreign Law and the Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO).

The cost stated for each programme includes a pick-up service upon arrival, accommodation, introduction session, welcome lunch, course literature, company visit, and all social and cultural activities. Students must pay for their travel to and from Sweden, meals (except the ones included in the programme), local transportation, bed linen, towels and health insurance.

For summer 2013 the courses on offer are:

Undergraduate

June 3 to 28, 2013

  • International Entrepreneurship and Venturing
  • International Logistics and Supply Chain Management

NB Students can only choose either one of the two courses offered, as they take place simultaneously.

Graduate

August 5 to 16, 2013

  • Developing Dynamic Family Enterprises
