Seoul Tech International Summer School (STISS) 2012

The Seoul Tech International Summer School 2012 is a special cultural program designed for students who wish to improve their understanding of Korean culture.

There will be two sessions which will take place from 27th June - 6th July and a second session from 8th - 17th August at Seoul National University of Technology in Seoul, Korea which is one of Northumbria University’s partner institutions.  There are 3 spaces available for Northumbria students on each date.

This Summer School offers various classes in Korean Language, Song, Movie, Food and Taekwondo to participants. There are also field trips to historic and cultural places which allow students to gain a more profound understanding of Korean culture and traditions.

Seoul Tech cover the cost of Tuition, Housing and Field Trip Fees.  Students would be required to pay travel costs and daily subsistence themselves.

To apply for the programme please complete the attached application form and include a Personal Statement of roughly one page explaining why you are applying for this opportunity and why you should be chosen to participate.

Please return your application and personal statement to the International Office by: 4pm on Friday 27th April in order for us to chose the successful students and meet the deadline for getting our applicant information to the STISS administrator.
