Northumbria is an internationally acclaimed modern university in the heart of the historic City of Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England. It has two separate campuses - Newcastle City Campus and Coach Lane Campus both located within Newcastle upon Tyne.

Newcastle upon Tyne is a regional capital and is just two hours and forty minutes away from London by the fastest rail service, whilst Edinburgh (Scotland's capital) is only an hour away. Newcastle has its own International Airport, whilst regular ferry services operate to and from Northern Europe.

Road travel, by coach or car, is particularly easy as Newcastle stands on the premier north-south route in the UK. Once in Newcastle itself, the extensive local public transport system, including the Metro (Tyneside's own underground), makes getting around very easy.
