The Student Recruitment team provides a link between the University
and schools/colleges and individuals. We offer guidance, support
and information to help students make informed choices about
Higher
Education.
Northumbria University is an active member of the Aimhigher Tyne, Wear & Northumberland partnership, offering Aimhigher learners from schools, colleges and academies across the partnership a chance to discover more about the opportunities within higher education by delivering campus visits, masterclasses, summer schools and the associates scheme.

Pre 16 Team
Our main objective within Student Recruitment is widening participation of
students into entering higher education. We target the different
age groups ranging from Year 6 through to Year 11, offering pupils a first
insight into higher education and university life.

16 - 19 Team
The focus of the 16-19 team is to ensure that students are able to make
well informed decisions regarding their Higher Education choices. We work
with students, their parents/carers, teachers and advisers, offering
support and guidance through the decsion making and application
process.

Return To Learning Service

Students into Schools (SIS)
Students into Schools is part of the Student Recruitment Team and is aimed at current university students who are interested in gaining academic credit whilst undertaking a placement in a school, college or community learning environment.
