FREE Taster Courses for Mature Students
What are Taster Courses?
Short, FREE events and courses for Mature Students in a wide range of degree subjects, which can help you find out more about the subject and what it could be like to study at Northumbria University.
Who are the courses for?
The courses are for Mature Students who are:
· thinking of returning to learning after a break from education
· already on an Access course
· looking to change career
· up-skill to help career progression
Priority will be given to people who meet the above criteria.
What will it cost me?
Nothing, all the courses are free.
Can I apply for as many sessions as I like?
As spaces are limited and the bookings outstrip availability you will be allowed to book a maximum of three sessions/events per academic year (September – July).
Do I need any particular qualifications or experience?
No, however, you will need to be thinking about returning to study.
How do I book a place on a course?
> Find the course you would like to book onto, from the list below
> Click on the course then select 'add to basket'
> The course is then added to your basket
> Click 'Book Now' in your basket (located at the right hand side of the page)
> Complete your personal details and submit the form
Places are limited, therefore early booking is advisable. Telephone bookings will only be accepted if applying within a few days of the course commencement.
If you are allocated a place and find you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible in order to allow other people the opportunity to be offered the place. If you fail to attend on more than two occasions, we reserve the right to refuse any further bookings.
