Law School Graduate Wins National Accolade
Former Northumbria Law School student Peter Judge has won a national accolade at this year’s Lawyer Awards.![]() |
Peter, who is Head of Legal Services and Procurement and Group Secretary at One North East, (the Regional Development Agency covering North East England) has been named the UK’s ‘In-House Lawyer of the Year 2010’.
The Lawyer Awards are designed to celebrate brilliance in the legal profession across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar.
The awards received the highest ever number of entries this year and Peter was selected by a senior advisory judging panel taken from leading practitioners in City institutions and the media.
Peter said, “I am delighted to be named ‘In-house Lawyer of the Year’. I have always been encouraged and inspired by a number of wonderful people and this award is recognition of their kindness and support”.
Peter, who graduated Northumbria Law School in 1994 after completing his LLB (Hons) and LPC, joined One North East as Head of Legal Services and Procurement in October 2003.
Peter is also Secretary to the One North East Board, Chairman of local cancer charity NEPAC, and has previously served on the boards of a variety of other local charities and social enterprises.
