Laing Art Gallery
Voted Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at the prestigious North East Tourism Awards in October 2005.
Newcastle's principal art gallery is located in the city centre very close to the City Campus. A glass entrance leads into this popular Gallery which houses an impressive collection of paintings, water-colours, costume, silver, glass, pottery and sculpture. There is a varied collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings, a Gaugin, and Henry Moore and Stanley Spencer pieces. Admission is free.
