Theatre Royal
The most famous of Newcastle's seven theatres, this Grade I listed building, which opened in 1837, is one of the most historic, cultural landmarks in Newcastle. It is the northern home to the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, Opera North and the Rambert Dance Company. It offers a wide range of performances from touring west end musicals, awarding winning dramas, to comedies and their ever-popular pantomime.
