Northumbria University has always been one of the most ambitious and successful UK universities for sport and in summer 2010 opened the doors to Sport Central, a £30 million state-of-the-art sports facility. Open to students, staff and the general public, Sport Central offers first class sports provision across a number of facilities including a 12m climbing wall, 25m swimming pool, golf simulator and fitness centre to name but a few.
