BA (Hons) Journalism

This programme is offered by the School of Arts and Social Sciences and is delivered full-time.

Journalism develops students' knowledge of both the practice and the theory of journalism and covers the main area of 'news-making'. From the first year onwards students will produce work which engages with all aspects of the process of journalism, including news production, editing, writing and reporting. Various options in journalism are pursued from the second year onwards in areas such as international journalism, new media journalism and broadcasting. The course will develop students practical, critical and analytical skills.
