Northumbria University’s School of the Built and Natural Environment are helping to enhance the role of cycling as an economic benefit for the city. Working in collaboration with Recyke y’Bike and funded by a £31,000 investment from Newcastle Science City’s engagement programme, the project looks to bring together the city’s scientists and researchers with community organisations and charities to tackle local issues relating to ageing and health, sustainability and skills.
