Profile of a Business Information Technology & Entrepreneurship Student

Eliott Suiter takes a B.I.T.E. of success

Elliot is currently in the second year of the BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology & Entrepreneurship (BITE) course.  He chose this particular course partly because of a friend’s recommendation and also because it was one of the only courses that offered Entrepreneurship as a module.  The city of Newcastle was also a huge pull factor, having such an established reputation as a party city.

Elliot, whose ambition is to become a millionaire, has already run small businesses from washing cars at the age of 14 to launching his own internet company entitled myunitube.com. The site is aimed at students to enable them to upload videos they have taken from nights out and other university social events.  Although the business is still in its infancy, it already has 75 members who can rate and share their experiences and take part in various competitions.

Elliot’s mother and father both run successful businesses in events management and construction.  Some might say that his drive and enthusiasm for success are in his genes. As well as studying and running myunitube.com, Elliot is already trying to venture into other areas including magazines, business analysis and stock markets. He says he would be surprised if he hasn’t set up a new business in the next 3 years.  Elliot says he definitely envisage himself as a business ‘dragon’ one day and would love to impart his knowledge and passion to others.
