Dr Pete Philipson

He studied for his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Newcastle University and continued on to complete his PhD in Bayesian Experimental Design for Limiting Dilution Assays. Following this he undertook a research post to develop software and methodology for missing data, particularly in the context of longitudinal studies. Seeking pastures new he ventured to London to work in industry for a year before taking on the role of Medical Statistician at University College London where he worked on biomarkers for cardiovascular disease based on large electronic record databases. He joined the Mathematics and Statistics team at Northumbria University in February 2011.
