My main research interests are in:
- Telemetry in Transport
- Advanced Instrumentation for in-service load and data collection
- Dynamics and Vibration of the Wind Turbines
- Process of Band-saw cutting
- Rock Mechanics
- Vibration monitoring in Robots.
- Flexibilities in high-speed machines.
- Modelling of the interface in composite material with emphasis on the load transfer.
- Modelling of the scaling process on special materials at high temperatures
My teaching includes:
- Applied Mechanics, Advanced Mechanics, and Computer Modelling on our undergraduate programmes
- Advanced Dynamics & Vibration at postgraduate level
- Module Tutor to Final Year Project Module
- Supervision of MSc Projects
Recent consultancies include:
- Critical evaluation of stress in structures and struts, machinery components and pressure vessels using strain gauge techniques together with theoretical analysis employing advanced engineering analysis Software tools.
- Vibration monitoring of rotating machinery; problems associated with imbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, oil whirl, gear damage, case flexibility, etc.
