My first degree was in Electroacoustics at Salford University. It was OK,
but not really what I imagined it to be and since jobs in acoustics are few
and far between, I decided to do an MSc in Computing at Northumbria
University, which I enjoyed much more.
I then joined the teaching staff here in 1997 and am currently studying for
a PhD in Game Design. I enjoy my job and most like teaching and the contact
with students, although I also really enjoy talking to games
companies.
Away from work, my hobbies include church, music and, unsurprisingly,
computer games.
