I have a BSc in Physics from Newcastle University, an MSc in Software Engineering from Newcastle Polytechnic (as it then was) and a PhD in Computing. I teach mostly programming (Visual Basic, C#, C++, Java) and some design-related work (mostly UML).
My research interests mostly involve state diagrams and their uses—whether relating them to sequence diagrams, or looking at how they can be used in the development of artificial intelligence in computer games.
