First Year BSc (Hons) Mathematics

 

Diane graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Sciences from Newcastle University, then completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She later gained an MSc in Applied Statistics with Business Statistics at Sheffield Hallam University.

Diane taught mathematics in a Newcastle comprehensive school before moving to Northumbria (then Newcastle Polytechnic) in 1990.

She is currently the First Year Tutor for mathematics based degree programmes.

 

Teaching commitments include teaching mathematics and statistics on the mathematics based degree programmes, as well as on a range of engineering programmes.

 

Diane’s hobbies include walking and singing.
