I studied Computing as an undergraduate at Sunderland University and, after graduating, worked in web development, then taught part-time and eventually
full-time before joining Northumbria in 2003. I used to do research in computer aided learning but now mainly concentrate on teaching, programme leadership and enjoying helping others to learn. My hobbies are swimming, playing badminton and reading.
