I came to Northumbria University in December 2002 as a full time member of the faculty. Prior to this I was involved in research in the Aeronautical Engineering department of Loughborough University and worked as a Scientist in HSE. I did my PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Imperial College. My research interests are mainly in CFD, heat transfer and experimental fluid flows. I am also keen on pedagogical research in Engineering and Technology.

At Northumbria what I enjoy most is the engagement with a truly diverse group of students through classroom lectures, projects and laboratories.  This diversity encouraged me to engage with a few other overseas institutions and I would like to explore more of this. I also visit industries regularly to see the placement students and find it very rewarding to see how well our would-be graduates are valued by the employers. This is also a great opportunity for me to keep myself up to date about what goes on in the practical world.
