Dr Noel Perera
Subject area: Engineering
Senior Lecturer

My first degree was in Mechanical Engineering here at Northumbria University. I joined the staff here in 2003 after a period spent teaching at University of Wales Institute in Cardiff. The thing I enjoy the most about my job is the engagement with science and technology as well as the interaction with the students. In my spare time, I'm either at the gym or reading!
My research interests are broadly in the areas of computational fluid
dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics and glass container tool
design.
