Dr Wai Ming Cheung is a lecturer at the Design and Manufacturing Research Group. He was a Post Doctoral Research Officer at the University of Bath, UK where he conducted research on through-life costing in designing defence electronic systems. Previously he was a researcher at the University of Durham focused on research and applications of Information and Communication Technology(ICT) techniques to capture and reuse of design and manufacturing knowledge to improve the product development process at the early design stage of automotive components. He obtained his PhD degree in engineering from the University of Durham.
His current research interests include knowledge management in design and manufacturing, through life costing from design to disposal, Information and Communication Technology in design and manufacturing and sustainability in product development.
