Salaries and Careers

Every year the university canvasses its graduates to see how they're doing, where they are working and how much they are earning. While this is an interesting activity in itself, the reason we do this is to make sure that we are producing graduates with modern skills that employers want. The latest figures show that 6 months after graduation, almost 93% of graduates from our undergraduate courses are either in employment or studying towards a further qualification, which is a fantastic figure.

As far as salaries are concerned, graduates from Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences earned, on average, £18,134 per year which is the third highest average salary across all Schools in the University and 10% higher than the university average and 30% higher than that for arts graduates. Our earnings range ran from £10,000 to £45,000 and supports the feeling that those opting for technology courses tend to be better rewarded financially than many other subjects.
