Prof. Nicola Pearsall - NPAC Director

Professor Nicola Pearsall is the Director of Northumbria Photovoltaics Applications Centre (NPAC) and group leader for the Energy Systems and Materials research group in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences.

She has over 20 years of research experience in photovoltaics, the conversion of sunlight to electricity, ranging from solar cell development through to system studies. Her current research is related to the design and performance assessment of photovoltaic systems, especially building integrated systems, with the main objective being to obtain the maximum amount of energy from the system across its lifetime.
