Workflow and sociotechnical design

This theme focuses on the strategic, organizational, social and human dimensions associated with the introduction of new information, communications and collaborative technologies in the workplace. Our research uses innovative methods and models to facilitate more effective approaches to information systems design and management strategy, including business process modeling, strategic analysis, organisational dynamics, business workflow simulations, sociotechnical design and prototyping. A particular focus involves the application of dynamic groupware technologies, such as Microsoft SharePoint, to design cooperative systems for professional working.
