Electronic Records Management

Focuses on the use of theory in practice and the subsequent influence of practice on the development of theory. This is achieved through research which examines the use, evaluation and impact of concepts, models and frameworks, policy, standards, guidelines and other tools to inform best practice and professional development and, hence, evolution of records management as a discipline. Outcomes include survey results, trends, themes, opinions and case studies/case examples. This scope provides a unique niche area within records management research and one which not only feeds into teaching, consultancy and training opportunities but provides opportunities for projects which require the knowledge and skills which come from partnerships with computing and information systems staff within the School.
