Research description:
My research interest is about decision support systems, focusing on the natural rubber market in Thailand. Since natural rubber prices have increasingly fluctuated for decades, stakeholders: farmers, co-operative managers, intermediaries, exporters, consumers and governments, are confronted with the difficulties of managing natural rubber products. My research aims to introduce a decision support and business intelligence systems to help the stakeholders to resolve the problems.
Data will be collected from a range of sources such as government statistics and commercial information.
Data analysis will be utilised statistical and advanced forecasting modelling mechanisms such as autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) and artificial neural networks (ANNs).
