LLB (Hons) Part-time

The LLB (Hons) part-time programme is a flexible 4-6 year degree programme. The degree is taught on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, between 6pm and 9pm and 6pm and 8.30pm respectively, in the School of Law, which is located on our award-winning, £70m campus, City Campus East.

The degree is a qualifying degree which means that it exempts students from the academic stage of legal education to become a solicitor or barrister. Once the degree is completed you may apply for admission to the Legal Practice Course (LPC), the vocational stage of legal education to become a solicitor, or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), the vocational stage of legal education to become a barrister.

Many forms of employment have a significant legal content. For example, an understanding of law is important for surveyors, company secretaries, local government officers, Civil Servants and the Police.
