Wildlife Crime Lecture - 'Protecting Endangered Species'

Monday 15th March at 11am  

Andy Fisher was Head of the Metropolitan Police Wildlife Crime Unit, the only specialist police unit dedicated to wildlife law enforcement in the UK.  This is a little-known area of policing but one which is achieving a higher profile as public and political awareness and expectations increase.

The illustrated presentation will cover the range of wildlife crimes occurring in the UK, including illegal persecution of indigenous species.  It will feature specific case studies and will explain the work done by the Metropolitan Police Wildlife Crime Unit.

The lecture will be take place in CCE1-001 and will be followed at 12 noon by a question and answer session in CCE1-021.
