Legal Accolade for High Achieving Student

Ann-Marie Burke, who graduated from the Legal Practice Course, received a prize for the best performance in the Property Law and Practice module.
Shaun Cannell from prize sponsor Northumbrian Water Property Solutions presented the graduate with a silver salver and prize money during a ceremony at Northumbria Law School, based in the award-winning City Campus East.
Ann-Marie from Durham studied history at Northumbria University before deciding to embark on a career in law. Ann-Marie said "I have always had an interest in law so after completing my history degree it made sense to study the Graduate Diploma in Law followed by the Legal Practice Course".
Throughout her time at Northumbria, Ann-Marie has been impressed by the standards of teaching.
She added "The Legal Practice Course was very well taught and you actually feel that you are being prepared for what you have to do in the future. The staff are great and by the time you sit the exams, you feel well-prepared and able to tackle them".
Shaun Cannell said "Northumbrian Water Property Solutions have donated this prize for a number of years and it is a pleasure to award outstanding achievement. I wish Ann-Marie every success in her future career".
Ann-Marie also won the Resolution Family Law Prize for the performance in the Family Law module on the Legal Practice Course.
Professor Plowden, Dean of Northumbria Law School said "Ann-Marie has demonstrated an extremely high standard of academic work on the Legal Practice Course and it is fantastic to see her exceptional achievement recognised through these awards".
