Northumbria School of Law wins National Training Award
The UK's most prestigious awards for training
The National Training Awards recognises the impact that excellent training, learning and development has on outstanding organisational and individual success and provides a benchmark for standards of training excellence in the UK.
Established in 1987, the National Training Awards are unique because they
encompass all sectors, sizes of organisation, training provider and
individuals, recognising all types of training from formal qualification
programmes to informal learning and coaching.
With two levels of award within each category - a regional award for
outstanding impact and a national award for regional winners who were
considered by the judges to be true exemplars of excellence, Northumbria
School of Law were delighted to scoop both the regional and national awards
at an awards ceremony on 21st September in Newcastle.
Professor Philip Plowden, Dean of the Law Schol said "I am naturally very
pleased by this recognition of the School's work. I am all the more
delighted because it is an award in which we were competing with some
excellent projects from large companies. The award reflects the
general excellence that is the hallmark of our work in the School".
Staff from the Law School will attend a further ceremony in London in
December where they will have the opportunity to compete to be the National
Training Award Winner of the Year in Education and Training.
