Pro Vice-Chancellor shares 25-year legal career with Northumbria Law students
Northumbria Law School was delighted to welcome Lucy Winskell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Region, Partnerships and Engagement) recently.
Previously a partner at leading law firm Sintons LLP, Lucy presented a thought provoking and vibrant account of her 25 year legal career in a guest lecture to final year M Law (Solicitor) Exempting students.
In the lively session, Lucy took questions from students on a range of subjects ranging from equality and diversity within the legal profession to what not to do when applying for a training contract. Drawing on her own experiences, her work with the Law Society and, more recently, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, she discussed changes to the law and the profession, graduate recruitment programmes and the benefits of work experience.
