Scholarship opportunity for BPTC applicants

Northumbria Law School are proud to announce that we will be offering 10 scholarships of up to £2,000 for the BPTC 2010 intake.

These scholarships will be open to students who have applied to Northumbria Law School in the first round of applications for either the full time or part time BPTC.  Students must have selected Northumbria as either their first, second or third choice and have applied via BPTC Online by 7th January 2010.

Given that the Bar Professional Training  Course is designed to prepare students for pupillage in England and Wales, a simulated pupillage application, resembling the OLPAS application form, will be used as a selection method, closely followed by an interview for those shortlisted applicants which is currently planned to take place on Friday 5th March 2010.

All students who apply for the scholarship will receive individual feedback on their 'application' which can then be used to improve real pupillage applications.  Feedback will be provided regardless of whether a prospective student has been successful in their scholarship application or not.

All BPTC first round applicants will be emailed details of the scholarship application process.  Students will know whether they have been awarded a scholarship before the deadline for the acceptance of a BPTC place.
