This programme aims to provide students with a thorough foundation in the theory and knowledge behind strategic international financial governance and finance in order to meeting the challenges of the rapidly changing global business arena. Study comprises a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials together with a 10,000-word dissertation enabling students to explore a topic of particular interest whilst applying the theoretical knowledge gained on the taught elements. Entry is also open to students who have completed professional accounting qualifications (such as AAT Technician, appropriate CIMA or ACCA papers, and equivalents), who are seeking fast- track to a bachelors degree.

This sought after programme takes a different approach to full-time study and is the only one of its kind in the North of England – in fact there's only one other course like it in the UK. Real work experience is gained throughout the in-company portion of the programme, where students can graduate as fully developed management trainees. The first year is an intensive course covering key business skills and developing a sound knowledge of business functions and management principles. The remaining two years are undertaken in paid employment but include study blocks. This integrates your academic and management development within the context of real business. The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute.

Entrepreneurial Business Management is an exciting and innovative new programme aimed at those aspiring to set up and run their own businesses or those who wish to stand out from the crowd when applying for graduate positions after completing the programme.

The Financial Services industry is vast and varied and offers graduates a wide range of interesting career paths. During this course students will learn about the major elements of financial services, examine current markets and trends and learn skills of analysis. There is a particular focus on the issues of risk and investment management. Expected careers are in the finance, banking and stock broking sectors.

This highly flexible course allows students to learn about business in an international context with a range of choices including the option to learn a language without previous language qualifications. Students spend the third year abroad in either Asia, America or Europe - either studying in a university in the host country or working for a company. Students who do not normally reside in the UK/EU may omit the year abroad from the programme and complete the degree in three years. This course commences in September except for direct entrants to the final year who have the option to start in January.
