News - Success for ‘Sporting Health’

A consultancy run by academics in the School of Psychology and Sport Sciences has been voted runners-up in the University’s Business Plan Competition.

‘Sporting Health’ which specialises in the diagnosis and management of Exercise Induced Asthma (EIA) and airborne allergy were one of five finalists in a competition where they had to ‘sell’ their business plan for a real life consultancy activity they perform. Dr Paula Ansley and Dr Les Ansley were awarded their runners-up trophy by Professor Peter Strike, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation. Amongst the other five finalists were the ‘Human Performance Unit’ who submitted a plan for their School Health and Talent ID consultancy program.
