Course Structure
MA in Preventive ConservationThe programme is a taught MA with a modular structure. It has three semesters, each fifteen weeks long.
Semester One
Semester one focuses on the theories that underpin Preventive Conservation and is taught through a combination of lectures, seminars and assignments. Students follow a taught programme that includes modules on the theories of Preventive Conservation, Physics and Chemistry.
Semester Two
During the second semester students undertake a work experience placement that provides the opportunity to translate Preventive Conservation theories into a working knowledge of practice.
Semester Three
Semester three is focused on developing and writing the dissertation.
