The North East Forum in Eighteenth-Century and Romantic Studies

This is a seminar and discussion group owned jointly by the English departments of Northumbria, Newcastle and Durham universities. The Forum was set up in 2004 with the objective of fostering dialogue between regional staff and students researching in eighteenth-century studies. Meetings are held 5 times a year at different venues in the region, always on a Friday from 3-5 pm, and involve student and/or lecturer presentations followed by discussion. The Forum has a mailing list that is used to disseminate information about relevant research events in the region and outside, as well as employment opportunities for doctoral students.
