Events

To foster a lively exchange of ideas and promote scholarly discussions, History staff members and postgraduate students are involved in hosting and organising the staff-postgraduate seminar series, as well as a number of international conferences. Our seminars offer a testing-ground for new research in progress and serve as a platform for visiting scholars, while the conferences hosted at Northumbria University attract large numbers of scholars and students from throughout the UK and further afield. The main events are listed below, but please also visit the event pages of our research groups and American Studies.

History's Staff-PG Seminar provides an excellent opportunity for staff, postgraduate students and visitors to come together and exchange ideas. All sessions take place on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in Lipman room 033 unless stated otherwise.
