Professor Hazel Croall

Visiting Professor of Criminology


Research Interests


Hazel has been responsible for teaching on and developing Criminology courses for many years along with researching and writing in a number of areas, including white collar and corporate crime, Scottish Criminal Justice and race and policing in Scotland. She is the co author of the text Criminal Justice in England and Wales, now in its fourth edition, and of Crime and Society in Britain. She has also acted as an external examiner and reviewer for many Universities including Northumbria.

She is currently working on completing the second edition of this latter text, and on an edited volume on Crime and Criminal Justice in Scotland for Willan Publishing. She continues to pursue a number of research interests for including work on sentencing corporate offenders and is also interested in the general area of social exclusion, crime and victimisation.  


Contribution to the Department


Hazel will be working with the team in the School on selected projects and reviews and  will give occasional guest lectures.
