Centre for Public Policy
The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) is based in the School of Arts & Social Sciences and undertakes applied research for public and voluntary sector agencies and organisations and community groups in the region and beyond. Drawing on an inter-disciplinary team of academics within the Department of Social Sciences, the Centre offer research expertise in the evaluation of public services, including service design and delivery, cost effectiveness and value for money.
Our Approach
The Centre for Public Policy has expertise across most modern, social science research methodologies and encourages a continual process of training and development to ensure our portfolio of skills is maintained. While the majority of our work requires the use of qualitative methods, we are equally comfortable in employing quantitative methods to meet the needs of research projects. In addition to the breadth and depth of our experienced staff, the Centre’s ability to deliver high quality, impressive research is underpinned by effective project management and quality assurance systems.
