Annual Conference of Historians of the Twentieth Century United States (HOTCUS)
Northumbria University, 5 - 7 July 2013
The HOTCUS annual conference offers an opportunity for members to share their research findings and benefit from the collective views of a vibrant community of the most active American historians in the UK. It also has a growing international reputation, accepting many papers each year from academics based around the globe, and is particularly keen to encourage the work of postgraduate students and Early Career Researchers. Held over three days, the conference includes a keynote lecture and six panel sessions, each normally split into three panels featuring three or four papers.
HOTCUS exists to facilitate and promote scholarship in the field of twentieth century American history. It has strong links with the British Association for American Studies and is the major academic organization for historians of modern America.
